Frightbox Recording is a recording studio based out of Passaic New Jersey that specializes in the hard rock and metal genres. Our primary goal is to faithfully capture a band’s unique sound and to do so in an environment that’s unique, inspiring and creative. We feel that the music you’ve created should be presented to your audience without compromise. Bobby Torres - Engineer/Producer/Mixer/Owner
Bobby has over a decade of experience working with bands in the rock and metal genres. After earning a degree in Sound Engineering Arts from William Paterson University and spending years as a guitarist and songwriter in multiple NJ bands, he’s worked with countless artists in the studio handling everything from the pre-production stage all of the way through to the final mix.
Ben Karas - Engineer/Producer/Composer
Ben is an active internationally touring musician known for his work in NJ based bands Thank You Scientist and Windfaerer. Ben Karas takes his roots in classical violin and applies them to alternative styles of music including metal, jazz and rock. Although classically trained, his passion for metal and forms of extreme music has led to his unique, big-picture perspective on heavy music production.
